BY THE SEASHORE

A card I made last week for no particular reason except that I wanted to play with some of my new things. Like most of you I get stamps etc and they sit in my collection but take some time to see any ink. I have been experimenting with watercolouring and used this card to have a play.

STAMPIN' UP! SPREADING INK TECHNIQUE

Hello lovelies and welcom to Tuesday Tip's, Techniques and Tutorials.
Lately I have been getting into some watercolouring and so I thought I would share this video with you all.
Very nifty and effective way to watercolour your line images and presented by the lovely Carrey from the Stampin' Up! home office. The stamp set that Carrey uses is not longer available but this technique would be great with the Stampin' Up! Gently Falling or Fabulous Florets

DAZZLING DETAILS

Another quick card. I wanted to try out my new firm foam ink pads and also the Silver Dazzling Details. Loving both. The Dazzling Details has a very fine tip and is quite precise. I also like that it is very glittery ( that is a word I am sure) unlike other brands on the market where there are "holes" between the glitter.

MANHATTAN FLOWER CARD

As many of you would know I have been making quite a few cards lately and entering them for challenges at various places. Well with all the creativity flowing there has been alot of misses with thing I thought might work but didn't. I have accumulated various stamped images, cut outs, embossed background etc. So I thought I would put them to good use and make up some quick cards. This is one of them.
I have left off the sentiment on this card as I think it could be used for birthday, thankyou, sympathy or anniversay card. Will have to wait and see what I will use it for later. It is going into my little stach.

PEFERCTLY PLACED STAMPED IMAGES

Welcome to another edition of Tuesday's Tips, Techniques & Tutorials.
Today I am going to show you how to get the perfectly placed stamped images.
The big secret is - you use a Stamp-a-ma-jig. A what I hear you say.
A stamp-a-ma-jig, just like thing-a-ma-jig only better.
Without further ado here we go with the tutorial. Things you need:
*Stampin' Up! Stamp-a-ma-jig
*Stamp set of choice - mine is Owl Occasions
*Ink pad of choice - darker colours are easier to see
* Whisper White or Very Vanilla Cardstock for Stamping.

Step 1 - ink up your stamp
Step 2 - Insert plastic piece snuggly into t-bar of stamp-a-ma-jig
Step 3 - Making sure your block in snug in the t-bar stamp your image onto the plastic.

Step 4 - Lift up stamp and you will be left with an image on the plastic like below
Step 5 - Align the stamped image on the plastic sheet to where you want it on your cardstock.
I wanted my owl on top of the branch.

Step 6 - Holding plastic sheet place stamp-a-ma-jig into position making sure it is a snug fit against your plastic sheet.

Step 7 - Remove plastic sheet carefully. Your stamp will be going in place of it.

Step 8 -  Making sure your block in snug in the t-bar stamp your image onto cardstock.
Step 9 - I am showing off and have stamp-a-ma-jiged (that is a word lol) a whole card.
Great techinique for this oh so cute stamp set.
I hope you like this tutorial. Please leave a comment if you enjoyed it as I love reading them.
Email me to order your Stamp-a-ma-jig today.

BEAUTIFUL BIRTHDAY

I have quite a few cards to make for my regular customers and friends this month. They all seem to have November Birthdays. I made this one over two days coming back to it several times as it is well out of my comfort zone. I love Marina Mist, Sahara Sand and Early Expresso as a colour combo and use them regluarly but found the addition of Tangerine Tango was difficult for me to incorporate, but in the end I am really happy with the card I came up with. I simply love the Beautiful Birthday stamp.  I got the lovely sketch from Mojo Monday 266 challenge. Colour combo is from Just Add Ink 143 -  Challenge.  I hope you like my card.

USE YOUR BLENDER PEN AS AN ERASER

Good Morning Lovelies,

Beautiful Day for the Race that stops the Nation. Now onto more important things. Today I am going to show you how to use your blender pen as an eraser. This is such a groovy little thing to know. It has saved me oodles of time. So now onto the tutorial.

Below is what you get after you complete the tutorial. You will need the following items:-
Stamp Set- I have used Owl Occasions,  Blender Pen & piece of scrap paper
Stampin' Write Markers - I have used Basic Black and Gumball Green
Ink Pad - I used Crumb Cake

1. Ink up your stamp in a solid colour
For the purpose of this photo I have used Basic Grey but th end image is Crumb Cake

2. Here is the really cool part. Using your blender pen go over the part of the stamped image you want erased. So I dont want his eyes in gray. I have gone over them several times with the belnder pen. Each time clearing the ink from my blender pen on the scrap paper.

This is what you stamp will look like once you have erased the grey ink from it.

3. Using you marker  colour the part of the stamp that you erased.
I used gumball green to give my little friend green eyes.
I then used black for his pupils.

This is what my inked up stamp looks like with crumb cake for my owl,
gumball green eyes and black pupils.

Now do a little huff onto your image and stamp. Wallah. You have an owl with gorgeous green eyes.

 Futher Tips for this Technique:
*Make sure you clear ink from your blender pen each time you erase colour from the image so it is truely clear of all colour. This is particularly important when erasing a dark colour ink
* This works great for the ink you get around your rubber on sentiment stamps. This way if you press too hard when you stamp them you dont get inky edge transfer ( that so is a technical term).
I hope you enjoyed this weeks edition of Tuesday's Tips and Techniques. If you did please leave me a comment. I love to hear/read them.
